The Bat Cave is located 2 km from Bukit Lawang around 20 minutes walking. We start the trail at 10:00 AM when guide pick you up at your hotel. During the walk your guide tell you about things which you can see on the way. You also might see monkeys. We will arrange torchlight because it’s required to see anything inside the cave. We recommend to wear good walking shoes because it requires a bit climbing over rocks and it can be very slippery. The cave is about 400 meters long. In the cave you can see more then thousands of bats which are hanging under the rock ceiling. In the end of the cave it become smaller there you can find swallows. Here and there the ceiling is open so you can see the sky and  the dense green of the jungle trees. There are often groups of monkeys moving surround in the treetops.

After caving we are going to Landak River about 1 km (15 minutes walking) to get a local lunch (BBQ or grill fish) and fresh fruits which our guide prepare for you. Landak river is a very clear, relax and quiet place. Good for swimming, relaxing and enjoy your delicious lunch.
